If a computer is always powered down, it will be extremely difficult to take care of, causing it to fall behind on its immunizations and other protections that toolsets can provide. If you have remote monitoring on your desktop computer, in general, it’s best to leave it on as much as possible, restarting it between once a day to every other day. This is a bit trickier for devices like laptops that are typically are typically not kept on all the time. It’s okay to keep your laptop turned off when it’s not in use, but try to have it on for most of the day once or twice a week.
