Encryption
En-kript-shuhn Encryption is the process of scrambling data in order to protect its content and make it unrecognizable. If a file is encrypted and intercepted by someone who does not hold the proper keys, it will read as a scrambled mess. If the proper keys are held, the data will be decrypted and will be put back into plain text (the original text that can actually be read and understood).
